Duo Táanxel

A classical guitar and piano duo was born out of wanting to explore various types of repertoire as well as the sonic differences between the two incredibly dissimilar instruments, each of which has distinct strengths and limitations. 

From Mayan, the word ¨Táanxel¨ means ¨on the other side¨. Since the two members of the pair are from various corners of the world, they believed that the name of the couple perfectly expressed who they are. 

Duo Táanxel has already performed in Lithuania, Sweden, Poland, Spain and Mexico. The material that the duo regularly chooses to perform accentuates the mellow, intimate voice of a guitar that pairs with supporting, faultless sound of the piano.
